On this day 56 years ago, the Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 lost volunteer fireman James E. Yohe in the line of duty. He was 31 years of age with nearly 10 years with the department.

Assisting Company 79 With A Dumpster Fire

At 15:34, the Rescue - Engine was alerted to assist Maytown Fire with a dumpster fire in East Donegal.
Rescue 41-1 went en route with 5 personnel under the direction of LT Race.
Units from Maytown were on scene with a large dumpster with construction debris on fire next to a house. Rescue 41-1 arrived on scene and provided manpower to wet hot spots, and remove items from the dumpster.... (Full Story & Photos)

At 1753, Station 41 and surrounding fire departments were alerted for a Structure Fire High Risk. Engine 41 and Chief 41 (Chief Livelsberger) went enroute at 1754. Additional provided was smoke coming from an apartment building. Chief 41 arrived and reported a 3 story apartment building, smoke showing, appears to be a fire on the 1st floor.
