Running Lines In The First Due

At 1830, crews loaded up on Rescue 1 and the Wagon for some hoseline advancement training.

Rather than the normal pull a line in a field and spray water scenario, crews ran lines in residential neighborhoods in the first due including single story ranchers, duplexes, and garden style apartments.

Rescue Company 41 With One Trapped On The 30 Strip

WrightsvilleFIRE Web Division, April 10

Just before 0900 hours, companies were alerted to Route 30 in the area of the Penn Dot shed in Hellam Township. The Rescue Company and Chiefs 40/41 responded on the run with a total of 10 volunteers, leaving an additional two men in quarters. Ventilation Drills and a Reported Vehicle Fire On Route 30

WrightsvilleFIRE Web Division, April 09

At 1830, members from 41 and two from Company 21 began the weekly drill night consisting of Forcible Entry and Ventilation.

AC Russ went over basic use of the K-Tool, and Saws.

Each member was required to start, and operate the Super Vac saw cutting down sections of rebar representing bars on windows.

Then, members "cracked" a simulated roof using the Cutters Edge saw.

Filling The Box On An Inside Investigation

At 1316, a call came into the STAFFED firehouse. The resident from the 200 Block of Hellam Street in Wrightsville was concerned about an odor inside the apartment building.

Engine Company Works A Tree Fire In The First Due

The Wagon was dispatched for the tree fire on River Rd. E-41 arrived to find a hollowed out tree with fire extending through the interior to the middle approximately 25 feet up.
