Remembering Fireman James Yohe

On this day 57 years ago, the Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 lost volunteer fireman James E. Yohe in the line of duty. He was 31 years of age with nearly 10 years with the department.

Gas Leak and Working Fire In Lower Windsor

Lieutenant Eric Oberdorff, November 11

At 1643, the Engine Company was alerted for a Gas Leak inside a residence on the 100 Blk of Haven Drive in Lower Windsor. Chief 42 (Hanson) arrived on scene, with a working trailer fire. (Seperate from Original Dispatch). Engine 41 went en route with 5 personnel in less than two minutes. Engine 41 arrived on scene, laid out from the main road, and stretched a line for attack.
