Wagon, Rescue Engine on the 38 Box

At 1738hrs on May 16, 2016 the box alarm was transmitted for Old Farm Lane for reports of a house on fire. Engine 41, Rescue 41-1, and Chief 41 responded with 11 volunteers.

State Grant Assists with Protective Footwear

WrightsvilleFIRE Web Division, May 16

Volunteers at Wrightsville Fire & Rescue recently received new Globe Supralite boots to replace aging and worn boots that were previously being used. These new boots are lighter and offer more flexibility while firefighters work in their turnout gear. A much needed investment as many of the older boots suffered from worn soles, tears, and had lost their resistance to water.

Fire in a Strip Mall

Rescue Engine 41 responded to Springettsbury Township this morning for a fire in a Strip Mall. Crews from 89 were on scene with smoke from the roof of a single story sushi restaurant. One year ago today, the Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 endured the tragic loss of Fire Police Lieutenant Curtis E. Nordsick in the line of duty.
