•2-29-08 - Volunteers Catch Fire In The West End of the Township•
At 03:45, box #2113 was struck for a residential structure fire on the 4300 block of Druck Valley road in Hellam Township.  Engine, Rescue and Duty 41 responded with a crew of 11.

Chief 21-1 enroute advising fire & smoke showing about a mile out and upgraded the assigment to two alarms.

Engine 41 arrived behind Tanker & Engine 21 to find a fully involved house.  Crews advanced lines to the rear and started to get a knock on the fire.  Incoming crews set up porta pond operations for a tanker shuttle.  The fire was placed under control around 06:30.  Crews later began overhaul and went available over four hours later.

Shortly after returning Rescue Co. 2 went enroute for a class 1 medical assist. 
Crews requested the 41 Engine to establish a landing zone.

While at the medical assist crews were alerted with 21 units for a smoke investigation on Druck Valley road.  The assignment was held to 21 equipment only.

One other medical assist was dispatched ending the day for the 41 volunteers.
