On Saturday, the 8th of March, the Fire Company held its 17th annual membership banquet honoring all members of the Fire Company both past and present.  This year we chose the following people to be recognized for their commitment to the company: Chad Livelsberger was honored with the firefighter of the year award. Joshua Groft was awarded the dedication and loyalty award to the company by responding to 343 of 573 calls during 2007. Eric Oberdorff was chosen as member of the year for his service and dedication as a firefighter with the company. Curt Nordsick received an award for 25 years of outstanding service to the Wrightsville Fire Department.  Daryl and Company of Wrightsville received the helping hand award for support above and beyond service given by a local business for helping us purchase our new Durango Command Vehicle. Thanks to Matt Tobia of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department for giving a great speech as our guest speaker. Congratulations to all recipients for work well done in 2007, and good luck in 2008! A special thanks goes out to our brothers from Lancaster County Station 8-1 and 7-9 for providing a standby crew running nearly 10 responses in just under 3 hours! Also, thanks to the companies that provided support throughout 2007!
