At 05:40, the 41-02 box was struck on Hellam Street in Wrightsville Borough for a
working hotel fire with possible entrapment. The Rescue and Engine went enroute in just two minutes with a total of 20 personnel, two Chiefs in Command 41, and 5 Members in quarters. Chief 41-1 arrived on scene with a working fire, 2nd Floor, possible entrapment. Engine 41 arrived on scene and dropped 5" supply line from 2nd & Hellam Streets. Crews made initial attack on the 2nd Floor, while a 2nd crew began a search. Rescue/Engine 41 arrived and laid the 4" supply line from 2nd/Locust. Crews made entry from the rear of the structure. Engine 41 supplied multiple handlines and Trucks 8-1, and 16. Rescue 41 supplied Lancaster Engine 8-1 and Truck 42. Evac tones were sounded while crews entered the exposure buildings on sides A and D. After the fire was knocked down, crews re-entered the fire building to perform overhaul operations. The box was placed available in about 7 hours, and 40 minutes Thanks to ALL of the mutual aid departments that assisted us on this challenging fire. |
