•6-8-10 - 5 Alarms in North York Puts 41 to Work!•
As the 41 Engine Crew was preparing to do a "5 Pointz" burn session at LCPSTC, York 911 dropped the 25-01 box for a working house fire.  Chief 24 had the command and requested the 2nd Alarm which transferred 41 to Company 24 (Manchester Township).  The Rescue-Engine handled the transfer to cover Manchester Township with 7 personnel and responded within the minute.  To ensure that Eastern York County was covered with fire service, Engine 41 headed back to Wrightsville to man the fire station.  While making the return, Engine 41 was requested to the scene of the now 4 alarm fire.  Engine 41 responded with a crew of 6 to North George Street & 4th Avenue in North York Borough to stage at the hydrant and sent manpower to staging on the Alpha side.  Meanwhile, the Rescue-Engine was pulled from the 24 House to go to the scene and provided the R.I.T. for the Charlie side of the row.  The Engine Crew was immediately sent to the Charlie side to go to work on the roof with Company 21 (Hellam) for some heavy overhaul.  The Rescue-Engine crew was relieved from R.I.T. and joined forces with the 21/41 overhaul crew.  Company 41 then assisted suppression units with packing line and putting equipment in service.  Company 41 went available at approximately 2300 hours before a stop at the local Sheetz for some hydration.

Great work by all stations working on the job!

Thanks to Company 44 (Craley), LanCo 7-9 (Maytown) & 8-1 (Columbia No. 1) for covering Wrightsville Borough, Hellam Township & Hallam Borough as the HTFD was in York!
