At 19:54, The new alpha-numeric pagers took in thier first activation in 41 hands with a Class I injury accident involving a bicyclist struck on the Lincoln Highway near Shoehouse Road. Rescues 1, 2 and the Engine took to the streets with 20 personnel in about a minute. Chief 21 arrived on the scene with one bicyclist down, and in care of EMS 41.  Crews from Hellam and Wrightsville assisted Ambulance 41-1 with patient care, and went available after a group photo with about three quarters of the volunteers on scene.
