Working Auto Fire On The Strip

At 1614, the Engine Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Route 30 West Bound at the Wrightsville Exit. The Engine was responding with 7 personnel in one minute along with the fire chief. Upon response, the location as updated to Route 30 WB and the Penn Dot shed. York advised that the vehicle was on a tow truck, multiple calls.

Engine/Chief 41 arrived on scene to find a blue Ford Focus with fire showing from the engine compartment. Crews quickly popped the hood with a haligan within seconds, and stretched the bumper line (200') and one crosslay (200'). The fire was knocked quickly. The Holmatro Combi Tool was used to pop the trunk of the vehicle - no extension was found. Rescue 41-1 arrived with 5 additional personnel, along with Chief 40. Rescue 1 supplied the Wagon via 3" supply line. Crews did some quick overhaul before going available to respond to an investigation inside in Hellam Township on Cool Creek Rd.
