At 1518, The Rescue/Engine was alerted to assist Lancaster County with a vehicle accident w/ entrapment on the Rt. 462 Bridge. Rescue 41-1 was en route with a staffing of 5 in less than one minute.

Rescue 1 arrived on the scene to find a two-vehicle accident, head on - one patient trapped, and one not breathing. Crews removed the priority patient and began resuscitation efforts. Remaining crews began stabilization of the 2nd vehicle and extrication of the patient.

Both patients were turned over to EMS. Crews wrapped up equipment and the rescue returned to quarters in less than one hour.
