Engine and Rescue Company Take In Four Working Brush Fires In Two Hours

At 1433, the Engine Company was alerted to the 1300 Block of Snyder Corner Road in Lower Windsor for a reported brush fire. Engine 41 went en route with 6 personnel in two minutes.
Lower Windsor units arrived on scene with a working woods fire endangering a structure. Engine 41 arrived and provided manpower for suppression and raking fire lines.

While on this fire, the Rescue Company handled another working brush fire on Adams Road in Lower Windsor, also endangering a structure.

At 1534, while wrapping up on Snyder Corner Road, the Engine was re-directed to the 500 Block of Bull Run Road in Lower Windsor for another brush fire. Engine 41 arrived and the assignment was held to Brush 44 soon after.

At 1631, while returning to quarters, the Engine Company was dispatched to the 900 Block of Cool Creek Road also in Lower Windsor for a field fire. Units arrived on scene to find a large section of corn field on fire as well as two controlled burns which needed extinguished. 41 operated on this fire for approximately 40 minutes before returning available.
