Volunteers at Wrightsville Fire & Rescue recently received new Globe Supralite boots to replace aging and worn boots that were previously being used. These new boots are lighter and offer more flexibility while firefighters work in their turnout gear. A much needed investment as many of the older boots suffered from worn soles, tears, and had lost their resistance to water.

This purchase was made possible with assistance from the Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program (FCVASGP) offered by the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In total, 33 pairs of boots were ordered with the final cost just over $12,000. This has allowed for most of our personnel to be outfitted with the new protective footwear.
