This evening under direction of Chief Livelsberger, personnel met with staff from Donsco, Inc. for an opportunity to walk-through the foundry facility and attached office space. In June 2018, a multi-alarm fire at the facility caused extensive damage that halted production at the Wrightsville foundry. Since then, Donsco, Inc. has taken strides in ensuring similar incidents are prevented and future incidents can be handled more systematically and safely.

Compliance Manager Jerry Hanson provided a tour noting upgrades to sprinklers, alarms, safety features, and among other things-- the processes that have been added or changed since the 2018 fire.
