What a difference a little paint makes!

Thank you to our volunteers that have taken time out of their busy lives to help complete our exterior paint project. With a few odd and ends still left to do, all of our exterior doors are now matching and have better protection from the elements.

The exterior painting project is the first of many improvements we plan to do this year to renovate our existing 40 year old facility. Since the acquisition of the portion of the building that previously housed the Wrightsville Borough Police Department, our organization is spearheading what is to be the largest renovation project the aging building has seen since it was built in 1979.

By the completion of the project, thousands of volunteer man hours will help offset the overall cost of much of the renovations. In the last 40 years, our volunteer fire department has seen an increase in call volume, increased training requirements, and a more recent need of technology that was not planned for or even available in 1979. A fire station in 2019 is no longer a basic garage to keep apparatus out of weather. Our goal is to make it a full functioning, self-sustaining facility to provide all of the necessary resources to our personnel to help us better serve our community.

We thank you for your support!
