This morning, just after 0700 Company 41 was alerted to Box 39-50 for a residential house on fire. Units arrived to find a 2 and 1/2 story home with fire throughout.

Once on scene, The Engine Company was put to work assisting with fire extinguishment and primary searches. While operating, a fireman from the Engine Company, along with a fireman from Craley became trapped in the attic of the home under heavy fire conditions for a brief time due to the stairway collapsing. Both firemen were able to self extricate via ground ladders and continue in fire suppression efforts. The Rescue Company also responded and assisted the rest of the crew with various tasks on the fire ground.

Both units, the Fire Chief & Deputy Chief operated for over 4 hours until being released by command. #WrightsvilleFire #Company41
