As the numbers continue to trickle in and we finalize remaining items from our annual golf tournament, I can say we have surpassed our own goals. This years golf tournament was the largest profitable fundraiser in the department’s history and to that - many need to be recognized!

First, the Chairman - Kelli Livelsberger, and the membership that dedicated so many hours in making this event such a huge success!

Secondly, Burning Bridge Tavern and Mann Family, if people truly understood the amount that you give back to our community they would be surprised! We and the fire department truly appreciate your generosity and everything you do for us!

Also our other local businesses, Hake's Sporting Goods, Susquehanna Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Donsco Inc, John Wright Restaurant, Wrightsville Social Club, American Legion Post 469, Half Nuts Popcorn Co. I often say it’s small businesses that makes America the best place to live, not corporate businesses like Walmart.

To the golfers: you make it possible and how fun it is to interact with each other! Thank you for continuing to support our mission!

This years event fell on September 11th, 20 years to the date that all of our lives changed forever. Hellam Township resident Todd Fritz offered his army vehicle to be used as a backdrop for the band, which was a beautiful touch to the day! It was such a wonderful sight seeing OUR Town, Our Community enjoying themselves.

Whiskey On The Rocks…you nailed the tribute for 9/11 honoring and remembering those that were lost that day!
