Last night at 20:57 hours, the Company was due on Box 21-40 in the Township for a reported house fire. The Engine Company and Captain 41 (Ishman) as the Duty Officer responded immediately with 7 personnel. York County 911 advised of rapid calls all reporting a large farm house on fire in the area of the 4900 block of Horn Road.
Engine 41 arrived on the scene as the first due Engine Company with fire showing from the 3rd floor. The Engine crew had an aggressive fire fight on their hands with high heat & low visibility on the 2nd & 3rd floors, coupled with multiple water supply issues in this rural area of the Township.

41 operated on the scene for just over 4 hours before returning. One member from the Department received burns to their hands, ears & foot and was medically evaluated and released in stable condition. Our thoughts continue to be with those affected from the Horn Farm Family.

Special Thank you to Fire Department Mount Joy for the transfer and helping us to clean our equipment upon our return.
