Department Signs Contract for Apparatus Replacement

On the evening of Tuesday, December 21, 2021, the Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 along with Hellam Township officials gathered for a contract signing with 10-8 Emergency Vehicle Service/Seagrave Fire Apparatus.

This new apparatus will replace our 1996 Seagrave Marauder rescue-engine currently serving as Rescue 41-1. The 1996 Seagrave has been the longest serving front-line motorized apparatus in our organization’s history, responding first out to most calls over the last 25 years.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the apparatus committee members, 10-8 Emergency Vehicle Service, and most importantly the Hellam Township Board of Supervisors for their dedication to make this purchase possible.

Specifications on the new Rescue Engine are as follows:

2022 Stainless Steel 154” Attacker Class Cab & Chassis
- Seating for (6)
- Cummins 525HP X12 Engine
- Mid-ship 1500GPM Waterous Pump with a 500 Gallon Water Tank
- Rear Intake
- (4) Pre-Connected Attack Lines
- NY Style Low Hose Bed with a Height of 5’ 7”
- 176” 3CR12 Stainless Steel Rescue Body
- (6) 1000 lbs Rated High Point Anchors
- Unit will feature (2) pre-connected Holmatro rescue tools with a full complement of battery powered tools, also carrying a Holmatro duo pump unit allowing us to place 8 tools in service if necessary.
