Training topics consisted of searching and VES drills. Crews discussed and trained on different techniques for searching, techniques for VESing, and also covered responsibilities of the OVM (Outside Vent Man) including OV reports.

Once back at the fire house, probationary members continued to train on tasks to complete their “Engine Company Rider” portion of their Rookie Book. The Rookie Book consists of a multitude of classes that need to be obtained as well as a multitude of in house tasks that must be performed. Today, Probationary Fireman Colby Johnson and Probationary Fireman Cooper Smith completed all requirements to become Wrightsville Engine Riders. Congratulations gentlemen and thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to the department and yourselves!

This evening, several members gathered for dinner and fellowship. Fire Chief Livelsberger prepared wings for he members to enjoy! During dinner and continuing into the overnight hours, crews have all 3 pieces staffed with qualified firemen!
