**Ice Rescue Course**
Today, 5 members of the Special Operations Division started the Ice Rescue and Emergency Response course, hosted by Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co

This course meets the NFPA 1670 technician level guidelines and will prepare our members for ice rescue related emergencies. During this course, students will learn how identify ice conditions, use ice rescue equipment and practice shore, boat, and direct contact ice rescue techniques.
This morning into this afternoon, the students completed the completed the classroom portion and written test. Next week the students will complete their pool session, and weather permitting the students will travel to Northern Pennsylvania to complete live ice evolutions.
