Hellam Township Fire Department Makes An Afternoon Swiftwater Grab

At 1539, Chief 21 (Strittmatter) requested the water rescue assignment for a vehicle in the water with one occupant trapped on Freysville Road in the area of the Prince Mobile Home Park.

Chiefs 40, 41, Both Rescues and Utility 41 responded in two minutes with with 21 personnel.

Utility 41/Rescue 41-2 arrived on scene and awaiting members from Company 21 boarded Utility 41.

The utility forged the creek and the person was removed from the vehicle.

41 was available in about a half an hour.
