•1.1.06: Station 41 Ends The Year With 354 Responses•
As 41 & Columbia 8-1 members waited for the New Years arrival, we were dispatched to the 500 Block of Locust St. for a controlled burn near a structure at 20:32.  Engine 1 / Rescue 1 responded within the minute with a crew of 17.  Deputy 41 arrived on the scene with a 4x4' bon fire.  Crews extinguished the fire with a water can, the box was placed available by Chief 41.  As New Years celebrations resumed, 41 / 8-1 crews enjoyed shrimp, pork, burgers, and lots of other great foods.  41 members had a very successful 2005, with only $800.00 in fire damage, and no fatal accidents or fires.  After 2006 was finally brought in, 5 members led by Lt. Livelsberger stayed for a duty crew until the following day, with no calls recieved.  Hopefully 2006 will be safe and a successful year for 41 volunteers once again.
