•11-24-06 - Entrapment and a Job Back-to-Back• |

While Rescue 1 was out for fuel, the 41-10 box was struck for an Auto Accident with
Entrapment and Ejection at 15:14. Rescue 2 was enroute within the minute
with 4 VRT's and Rescue 1 right behind with 6. Chief 41 arrived on scene
with a two vehicle crash, one patient entrapped, one pediatric patient ejected,
and 3 additional patients needing transport. Rescue 1 and 2 arrived and
stabilized and depower both vehicles. Engine 21 and LC Engine 8-1-1 had
the fire suppression lines pulled. Life Lion was directed to land on Route
30 in the eastbound lanes. Units were clear at 16:11. Great job to all of those who assisted in the 11 minute extrication! While working the pin, Lancaster County dispatched a building assignment in the 800 Block of Locust Street in Columbia Borough. The 41 Engine was dispatched due to LC Engine 8-1-1 being on the 41 crash. Rescue/Engine 41 cleared the pin and went in place of Engine 41. First due units arrived with a working fire in the stairwell of the building. Rescue 1 assisted and was available at 16:54. Thanks to Station 21 for standing by until the Rescue Company returned from the fire. |
