Shortly after 03:00 hours the Engine from 41 was dispatched with the 1st alarm assignment for a barn fire on the 1300 block of Donegal Creek road in East Donegal Township. Engine 41 went enroute with a crew of five. The sky above 41 was glowing red upon response. Chief 79 arrived on the scene to find a barn well involved with multiple exposures. Engine 41 arrived and dumped 1000' feet of 5" supply line and then setup a draft site in a creek near the barn to supply Tanker 7-1. While on scene crews assisted in fire suppression and lighting operations. After the hose was packed up, the 41 Engine went available in about 7 hours. -Thanks to the guys from Rheems for assisting in loading the 5". |
