•11-30-07 - Engine, Rescue Respond To Gas Line Struck•

At 14:40, the Engine, Rescue 1 and Engine 21 (Hallam) were dispatched to the 200 Block of Walnut for a gas line struck and blowing.  Engine &  Rescue Company responded with 10 personnel in one minute.  Engine 1 arrived on the scene with an active leak caused by a construction crews backhoe.  41 crew monitored the area and the nearby homes only to find normal conditions.  Columbia Gas Company arrived and contained the leak and the box was in service in 20 minutes. •CREW: Deputy Chief Smeltzer, Assistant Chief Livelsberger, Captain Livelsberger, Lieuntenant Poole, Lieutenant Groft,  Firefighter/EMT Ryon, Firefighter D.
