11-9-06 - Vehicle Fire With 2 Transported

At 19:48 Hours, the 41-12 box was struck for a reported Vehicle Fire on Route 30 West at the Wrightsville Exit in Hellam Township . Engine 1 was en route within a minute with 7 and Chief Livelsberger in the seat. Chief 41 and Engine 41 arrived in the area with nothing evident. Units canvassed the area to find a Jeep Cherokee on the shoulder in the area of the PennDOT Shed with fire out prior to arrival. Engine crew treated 2 patients for smoke inhalation until BLS 41 arrived. After investigation, it was found that the battery shorted out and caused a small fire. Engine 1 was clear of the incident at 20:35.

The 41 House also ran two injury crashes earlier in the day.
