•12-10-08 - Structure Fire High Risk In 21 First Due•
At 20:04, the high-risk commercial structure fire box was dispatched in Hallam at the Frosty Freeze on W. Market.
Engine and Command 41 went with 8 in one minute.
Chief 21 arrived on scene, normal conditions.
Crews began checking the inside of the structure because of an odor of something burning inside.
Nothing was found, and crews laddered the building to gain access to the roof mounted furnace.
Crews on the roof found a large furnace blowing a strong odor of something electrical burning.
The fuel to the furnace and the furnace itself was immediately depowered, and crews gained access to the inside of the unit.
Other than some rather hot areas inside the furnace, nothing else was evident.
Crews then advised the owners to get the help of a technician, and the 21-01 box was placed available.
