•2-1-10 - RIT, Class, and a Crash•
The day started with a reported Chimney Fire in Company 44's area (Craley) on Craley Road in Lower Windsor Township.  Rescue 1 was dispatched at 0701 for RIT and responded in 3 minutes with 8 personnel.  The caller requested the fire department to cancel and the Wrightsville Volunteers were available moments later.

At 1800 hours, members and neighboring departments assembled to continue their education by participating in a Basic Rigging for Ropes Rescue course held in-station brought to us by Harrisburg Area Community College and Instructor Curvin Wolgang of the East Prospect Fire Department.

While in class, the in-house alerting system sounded for a vehicle accident with injuries, vehicle on its side on Pleasant Valley Road in Company 21's area (Hellam) of Hellam Township.
Rescues 1 & 2 were enroute immediately with 12 volunteers.  Chief 21 arrived on scene with a pick-up truck off the road and one class 1 patient.  Crews from 41/21 depowered the truck and cleared debris with the patient in care of EMS 41 (Eastern York).
