•2.3.06: Dump Truck Overturned On Rt. 30• |

At approx. 0530hrs, Station 41 was dispatched to Rt.30 1/4 mile east of the Wrightsville
exit, for a vehicle accident with injuries/vehicle overturned. Rescue
41 hit the street within 2 minutes with a crew of 5 later followed by Rescue
41-2 & Car 41. Deputy Chief Smeltzer, already enroute was advised by YCC that
PD was on scene with a dump truck overutrned. R-41 arrived to find the dump truck
overturned in median with no injuries and its load of drywall compound lying
in the westbound lane of Rt. 30. Asst. Chief Livelsberger assumed command.
Deputy Chief Smeltzer had the operations. Crews depowered the truck
and contained a fuel leak. Haz-Mat 91 was dispatched due to the amount of fuel.
The drywall compound was washed off the highway with the assistance of Tankers
21 & 44. The box was available around 0830hrs. *A special thanks to the fire police that came out and directed traffic during the busy rush hours on Rt. 30. 41, 21, 42, and LC Traffic 8. |
