At 0003 hours RIT 41 was dispatched for a 2nd alarm church fire at 10085 Chapel Church
Road in Company 39’s first due. Asst. Chief Livelsberger and R-41 responded
with 5 volunteers in two minutes. Rescue 41 arrived as the 2nd-in RIT
team, and supplied a crew to side "B". While crews were working in the basement
of the structure, the building was deemed to be no longer suitable for interior
firefighting, and the RIT team was broken down. Crews from 41 were
later sent inside for overhaul operations. Rescue 41 operated for
approximately four and 1/2 hours before returning to service. Thanks to Rescue 7-9 for providing a Special Service transfer to Station 41 for the duration of the call. |
