•3.12.05: 14th Annual Membership Banquet•
On Saturday, the 12th of March, the Fire Company held its 14th annual membership banquet honoring all members of the Fire Company both past and present.  This year we chose the following people to be recognized for their commitment to the company:

Gregory Scritchfield was chosen as member of the year for his service and dedication as the chief engineer of the company.
Robert Crawford was honored with the first-ever firefighter of the year award for responding to nearly 160 of the 304 calls last year.
Jack Bowers was awarded the years of service award; Jack currently is Captain of the fire police and also served as a past assistant chief.

The following were awarded years-of-service pins:
Fire Chief Len Urey - 30 Years
Deputy Chief Lane Hake - 20 Years
Assistant Engineer Mike Gromling - 10 Years

A special award was given to past chief Leon Flora for longevity in that position.
The Wrightsville Inn received the helping hand award for support above and beyond service given by a local business for their cash contributions and providing breakfast for volunteers fighting and the controlling of the December 23rd Electroplaters Fire.

Congratulations to all recipients for work well done in 2004, and good luck in 2005!

A special thanks goes out to our brothers from Lancaster County Station 8-1 for providing a standby engine and crew during the night and hours following our banquet.

Also, thanks to the following companies for being there for us in 2004:
