•3.18.06: High Winds Cause Brush Fire In 41 Local• |
Saturday 3/18 at approximately 13:50, Station 41 was dispatched to Apache Lane in
Hellam Twp. for a brush fire. Rescue 41 was on the street first with a crew of
8, followed by Engine 41 with a crew of 5. Chief 41(Urey) on the scene w/ a working
brush fire. Chief advised Rescue 1 to pull 2 lines for the attack.
Chief 41 added Hallam Tanker 21 to the assignment, but was later placed available,
after the 41 boys made a quick knock on the fire, and no additional water
was needed. Crews were available within 30 minutes. |
