•3.27.06: Engine 41 Assists On Windsor Township Brush Fire• |

0655hrs started the day off for the 41 house on Monday, with a medical assist, followed by another Rt. 30 crash with minor injuries at 0932hrs. The next alert came in around 1340hrs for a standby in quarters, due to a large brush fire in Windsor Twp. that depleted most of the south eastern end of the county. At 1547hrs Engine 41 was dispatched to transfer to Station 21, while most of the 21 personnel were at the brush fire. Engine responded with a crew of 6 and R41-2 was added to the transfer assignment, while R41 was staffed w/6 at the 41 house along with Tanker 7-8 (Washington Boro). The Engine was only at 21 for couple of minutes before getting requested to the scene for additional manpower. R41-2 remained at 21 with Brush 6 (Dover) and Engine 7-9-2 (East Donegal). The 41 crew assisted 38 with knocking down hot spots and overhaul. Crews returned home at approximately 1930hrs. |
