•4.10.06: 41 Answers 7 Calls Over The Weekend•

Just as some of the 41 members sat down to eat a steak dinner Friday evening, Station 41 was alerted for a Class 1 Medical Assist in the 41 local, the crew returned shortly after EMS arrived. Just about an hour later the 41 house was racked for a vehicle fire on Rt. 30 in the 41 local. Rescue and Engine 41 were out within 1 minute Rescue w/5, Engine w/6. Deputy 41 (Smeltzer) arrived with tractor trailer leaking oil, and overheated, the box was held to just Rescue 41. The Rescue was availible within 10 mins.  No sooner was the Rescue backed into the station, 41 was alerted for another medical assist Class 1. R41-2 responded with 5, and treated until Ambulance 41-3 and Medic 102 arrived. Another class 1 medical call was answered just after midnight on Saturday, with R41-2 enroute within 2 mins w/5. Just after 1500hrs  Station 41 was due in Hellam Twp. for a Vehicle Accident w/ reported entrapment, and the vehicle into a structure in the 21 local. R41-2 responded within 2 mins, later followed by R41. Chief 21 (Rohrbaugh)  arrived to find 1 vehicle into a structure, no entrapment. R41 was recalled upon arrival, R41-2 assisted the Attack and Tanker 21 crews with patient care until EMS arrived. About 3 hours later, around 18:45, Station 41 was alerted for a Vehicle Fire on Rt 30 in the area of the Cool Springs overpass. Engine 41 was enroute within 1 min w/7, shortly followed by Rescue 41 w/5. Crews were unable to locate anything on Rt 30, Firepolice reported a vehicle in the Rutters parking lot on Cool Springs Rd. to be overheated, Engine 41 checked it out no fire services were needed and the box was placed available. The weekend ended Sunday with a afternoon pump training, then with an accident involving a motorcycle just after 1630 hrs, at the intersection of 9th and Hellam Streets in Wrightsville Borough. R41-2 was out w/5 within 1 min, followed by R41 w/5. Chief 41 (Urey) arrived with one motorcycle on its side and assumed command. R41-2 arrived began patient care, patient was turned over to EMS.
