7-11-09 - Busy Day Followed By Some Ice Cream

The 41 House started its' busy day off with an assist to Maytown 79.
At 14:00, the Engine Company was due for an automatic fire alarm on Honeydew Lane in East Donegal.
The 41 Engine responded with 5 in two minutes.
Engine crew arrived and assisted Bainbridge 71 with searching the building because of a waterflow alarm. Nothing out of the ordinary was found. The alarm panel was found in the utility room and the alarm was disabled.

At 14:53, the MVA assignment was dispatched to Route 441 and Long Lane in East Donegal bringing in Rescue 41-2 in addition to the engine company. Units from 7-6 arrived on scene and the accident was confirmed to be in West Hempfield, placing the 41 equipment available.

At 17:02 the 3rd call in Lancaster County for 41 was dispatched in Columbia for a structure fire.
Engine 41 responded with 8 in two minutes.
While enroute, units arriving found a light smoke condition due to food on the stove. Engine 41 was recalled before arrival.

At 18:19 box #2115 was dispatched for a vehicle accident on Route 30 near the Hallam Exit.
Rescue Company 41 responded in one minute with a crew of 15.
A Ford Explorer was off to the side of the road after losing control. All patients in the vehicle were okay and no fire-rescue services were needed.

The last call of the day was recieved at 19:11.
Box 41-03 was dropped for a vehicle accident with injuries involving a motorcycle on the 6300 block of River Drive.
Rescue Company 41 responded in one minute with a crew of 17.
Chief 41 arrived on the scene reporting 1 patient lying in the roadway. Rescue 41-2 crew did patient care with a full spinal immobilization and had the patient packaged for arrival of Ambulance 41.
Patient care was handed over, and the box was placed available.
