•7-24-09 - Shooting Starts A Long Day For The 41 Volunteers•
  At approx. 0027, the 4101 medical box was dispatched for a class 1 shooting in uptown Wrightsville.  Units arrived on scene to find one person laying in the roadway with a gunshot wound.  Rescue crews worked the patient until the arrival of BLS/ALS.

At 01:00, Engine 41 arrived on scene for washdown of the scene.  All units cleared the scene by 01:13.

At 03:07, Rescue 2 was dispatched for a Class 1 assault in Hellam Township.  Rescue Company responded in one minute with 5, and 3 in-house.
41 cleared the scene in about a half an hour.

At 08:28  Rescue 41 was dispatched to assist the Police Department with an investigation on Cool Springs Road in the township.  Rescue Company went enroute in two minutes with 7.  Crews arrived and assisted in a search of weapons used in an earlier incident.  Units cleared in just under an hour of dispatch.

At 10:56 box #2114 was dispatched for an auto accident-debris removal on Frysville Road near the Windsor Twp line.  Rescue 1 went enroute in one minute.
Rescue 41 arrived and stood by with 21 units until the arrival of towing services.

At 15:25 the 2110 box was dispatched for a vehicle accident with unknown injuries on the Lincoln Highway in the area of Keeney Lane.  Both Rescues out of 41 went enroute in one minute with 11.  Units arrived on scene with a pickup vs. a tractor/trailer with heavy front end damage.  The patient was lying by the side of the road.  Rescue crews split for patient care and depowerment and fluid clean-up.  The Holmatro™ O-Cutters were used to cut the bumper off the trailer.  Patient was transferred to BLS 41.  The box was available after towing was complete.

At 17:31 Hellam Township units along with Lancaster Truck 8-1 were dispatched for an automatic fire alarm on the 300 block of Laurel Drive in the Township.  Rescue and Engine 41 enroute with 13 in one minute.
Alarm was tripped due to a storm in the area, no fire services needed.

The final run of the day came in at 19:04 with reports of a bicyclist struck at 2nd/Hellam Streets in Wrightsville.  Rescue Company 41 enroute and on scene in a minute with 15 personnel.
Crews assisted with patient care until the arrival of EMS 41.
