Each bid you make raises the price one cent, and 1 bid is deducted from your account. As the time runs out, every bid extends the time 10 to 20 seconds until a final bid is made. Once you win the auction, you pay the final cost of the item auctioned off. And these prices are much cheaper than buying at retail stores as much as 90%. As we are in fact a trusted Fire and Rescue Department we cannot chance going broke. Therefore, on some items in the early stages of this business will have a hidden reserve that will be placed on some items. If that reserve is not met, the item will be marked to the winner, reserve not met. ALL BIDS ON THAT ITEM WILL THEN BE CREDITED BACK TO EACH BIDDERS ACCOUNT. The idea is to never let time run out on an item. Once the clock counts down the auction is over on that item. Bidding cannot resume.
