•8-15-06 - Another Busy Day Brings 4• |

The day started off with the borough office advising of a complaint of an odor of
natural gas in the area of the Locust Street Museum at 14:29. Rescue Company
1 was enroute immediately with 5. When they arrived, the MSA gas detector
was put in service in the area of an antique natural gas burning street lamp.
A reading of 100 LEL was found. The gas to the lamp was shut off
to the lamp and the 41-01 box was available 29 minutes after dispatch.
The next run came in at 18:04 with the Engine Company assisting the 42 brothers
with a woods fire. Engine 1 arrived on scene and manpower was sent via
boat 81 to the scene. The wagon crew assisted with overhaul operations and
the Engine was available at 20:42. Soon after arriving back to the station,
the QRS Service was put to work with a Class I Medical Assist in the borough.
While the QRS was on scene the 41 house was once again racked to assist
Station 21 and the police department with a search detail. Rescue 2, Engine
1, and Car 1 were enroute in less than a minute and placed available seconds
later. Thanks to LC Engine 792 for fulfilling an Engine Company Transfer to the WFD. |
