•8-9-07 - Heavy Rain Brings 4 Runs In 3 Hours•

Starting around 12:14, The Wrightsville Volunteers were due to respond to Rt. 462 in the area of the Frosty Freeze in Hallam for an auto accident with unknown injuries.  Station 41 dumped the house with 12 in 3 minutes.

The equipment responding was redirected to Hellam / 9th Streets in Wrightsville for another injury accident. 

Rescue 41 arrived on scene to find a Jeep vs. Passenger car, with heavy damage to both vehicles.  There were 2 class III patients and 1 class I patient.  Crew assisted in Patient care and then cleared the roadway of debris.  The box was available  at 13:05.

While returning to quarters, Captain 42 (Holtzinger) advised YCC of an injury accident in Hellam Township, at Cool Creek / Mt. Pisgah roads.  Rescues 1 & 2 went enroute a minute later with a crew of 14.

Deputy 41 arrived on location reporting a 2-vehicle accident with one patient.  Patient was boarded on Ambulance 41.  41 crew then awaiting towing services and the box was in service 53 minutes later.

About an hour later, Box 41-15 was dispatched for a gas line struck in the Cool Creek Apartments.  Engine & Rescue 1 went enroute in a minute with a staffing of 12.

Engine 41 arrived on the scene to find a gas meter with a hole in the side of it, not leaking, no danger to the exposure buildings.
The line was shut down before arrival.  Captain 41 had responding units downgrade to non-emergency.  Units then waited for the arrival of Columbia Gas.  Columbia gas advised that fire services were no longer needed, and the box was available at 15:39.
