•9-1-06 - September Starts Out a Little Technical = No Problem•
Twenty-four minutes after midnight, Station 41 was summoned to respond to the 700 Block of South Front Street in Wrightsville Borough at the County Line Quarry for the industrial rescue.  Rescue 1 responded two minutes later with a crew of four.  YCC gave R-41 an update of a first-hand call, caller stating that he was trapped inside the rock crusher hanging upside down by his foot.  Upon the update; Deputy 41 requested a 2nd Rescue out of 41, and Rescues 42, and 79 (Maytown).  Engine 21 (Hallam) was dispatched for the LZ at the lower ballfields in the borough. 
Rescue 41 arrived 1st, confirming 1 patient had fallen 10-15 ft. from his hanging position, and falling in and out of consciousness.  Crew shut down power to the facility, and Lt. Russ was lowered to assess the patient through the rock chute while crews below began digging through a couple of feet of rock to gain entry to an access panel.  Once the panel was opened, a Medic entered the tight space to begin an extensive assessment of the patient and find the best route of egress for the patient.  The patient was packaged on a reeves litter and lifted out of the chute by 41 crews and handed over to EMS 41, and Medic 102 at 00:57 and was then transported by Life Flight 1 to York Hospital.
