The WFD was requested to assist the brothers from Lancaster County with 4 separate
incidents from the 26th to the 28th. On 9/26 at 11:31 the 41 pagers activated for a Dwelling Assignment in East Donegal Township. Engine 41 went responding within 2 minutes with 8 and Captain Livelsberger in the seat. PD and Deputy 79 arrived on scene confirming a 2 story structure well involved. The wagon was instructed to lay the 5" supply line from the hard road and feed Tanker 710. Crews assisted in the extinguishment of the fire and overhaul operations. The 2nd Lancaster County emergency came in on the 27th, also in East Donegal Township. A Dwelling Fire was reported on Thornapple Drive at 15:11. Engine 1 with Lt. Russ in the seat went with 8 in 2 minutes. Prior to arrival, 41 was instructed to send their manpower to staging. Once in staging, Engine 41 was instructed to respond to Conoy Township to assist Station 71. The Engine went clear of the 79 Box at 15:28 The 71 Brothers were dispatched for an Industrial Building Fire at the Lancaster County Incinerator. Upon arrival all units were advised it was a cooling tower fan on fire. The "Men in Black" were assigned to side Charlie to assist with the fire then were ordered to ladder the roof to check for extensions and any damage to the structure. Command 71 then place the 41 Engine in service at 16:14. Lastly, on the 28th, York Engine 41-1 was dispatched to assist LC Station 81 for an Investigation / Auto Alarm @ 18:51 due to other Columbia units operating on a gas leak. Engine 41 / Deputy 41 were enroute within 1 minute with 8 personnel. The Engine and the Deputy arrived first on scene with normal conditions from the exterior. Deputy 41 assumed command 8 until Chief 81 / Wagon 81 arrived on scene and Chief 41-1 (Livelsberger) had the operations. The 41 Crew split into teams of 2 to investigate. The source was found to be unattended cooking. 41 was available at 19:15 |
