9-5-09 - Training With Wrightsville & Craley Fire
At 08:00 hours, Rescue Company 41 arrived at the  Downtown Wrightsville Fire/Rescue training grounds and met up with members of the Craley Fire Department for some extrication training.
Wrightsville officers went over basic extrication and vehicle stabilization techniques with the members of Craley.
Crews split into two teams and went over the use of the rescue struts on overturned vehicles, and practicing of the quick 2-door swing extrication technique.
After demonstrations all personnel on scene loaded up in apparatus and did an all out scenario of a 2-vehicle accident with 3 patients trapped.
At the end of the day, one of the vehicles was set on fire, and firefighters from 41 and 44 arrived on Engine 41 to practice extinguishing the blaze.  At the end of the training, crews returned to 41 for lunch, and a quick group shot...
