Sunday, January 1, 2012 - At 0650, Rescue Company 41 was due for a class one med local on the 600 block of
Water Street in Wrightsville. Rescue 412 was on the street in one minute. At 1025, the Rescue Company was dispatched along with Engine Company 21 (Hellam) for a class two vehicle accident on Cool Springs Road in the area of US Route 30 in Hellam Township. Both rescues and the Command were on the street in two minutes with a staffing of 13. Rescue 412 arrived on the scene to find a two vehicle accident with 3 patient sign-offs, and one class 3 transport. Crews began patient care, as well as depowering the vehicles. After fluids were controlled, the rescue box was cleared. |
Thursday, January 19, 2012 - At 1051 Hours, the officers and members of Company 41 along with many other local
mutual aid departments gathered to pay respects to Firefighter/EMT Mike Enochs
of the Friendship Fire Company of Hellam. Mike passed away today after
a courageous battle against cancer. Mike began his firefighting career at
Company 21 back in 2007, and has become a leader as well as a mentor to others
who looked up to him. We will always remember Mike for his love for others and his ability to keep you smiling on the worst of days. Our thoughts are with Mike's family, friends, and fiancé through this difficult time. |
