About Our Services... In August of 2000, the Wrightsville & Kreutz Creek Ambulance Clubs merged together to form Eastern York Emergency Medical Services. The members of the Wrightsville Fire Department saw a lack in rapid medical services in Wrightsville & Hellam Township and therefore took it upon themselves to get re-certified in Quick Response Service since the ambulance would now be coming from Hallam. |
Demographics... The Wrightsville Fire Department QRS responds to all Class 1 EMS calls on 41 boxes within Wrightsville Borough and Hellam Township. It also responds to incidents in the same areas regardless of the Medical Class when the following occurs; The 1st Due BLS unit fails to respond, or next due BLS unit is dispatched for the incident. |
Response... In 2007, QRS 41 Responded to 159 Incidents with an average response time of 2-1/2 minutes. |
